In this movie, a person with spinal cord injury uses scalp-recorded sensorimotor rhythms to control a computer cursor in one dimension. The user's task is to hit a target that appears at one of six possible locations.
The BCI system shown in this video is BCI2000. BCI2000 is a general-purpose system for brain-computer interface (BCI) research. It can also be used for data acquisition, stimulus presentation, and brain monitoring applications. The mission of the BCI2000 project is to facilitate research and applications in these areas.
