This is a tool-assisted demonstration in-progress of the "Sort or 'Splode" minigame found on the Nintendo DS video game New Super Mario Bros. (this minigame is also found on Super Mario 64 DS). This demo uses savestate and slowdown features on an emulator to produce the results you see. For more information on tool-assisted playthroughs, visit http://tasvideos.org

Not sure how far I'm going to get with this or even what the max is (though I assume it's 9999). To keep things interesting, I occasionally allow the Bob-Ombs to fill up some of the screen before moving them to their respective squares. If I ever get around to completing this, I'll probably just upload the last few hundred Bob-Ombs.

  • what is WIP?

  • @OameGver

"Work in progress." Though to be honest, there hasn't been much work on it recently.

  • Only 467 views? That's not very fair! *favs*

Btw, very entertaining! Not only was it a TAS, but it was hilarious to see you fling the pink bob-ombs all over the place.

Thanks. Since just moving the bob-ombs to their respective squares right away would be too boring, I decided to mix it up a little.

I haven't put any effort into maxing the counter in a few months, but I think I'm at a point where I put more emphasis on getting them to their squares due to how many appear in such a short time.

  • I need to get mario back just so i can play this :D

  • @Groudon0199 Ah, well I know that the two things a TAS tries to do is provide the fastest time/highest record or provide an entertaining video. You managed to do both (at least with what you've done so far). I've tried TASing, but I've never had the patience to actually complete anything. You do quite an entertaining job with the bob-ombs, and I wish for my viewers to subscribe to your TASing talent!

  • Nice. Been wondering what these mini games would look like TAS'd.
