Samsung's WiFi toting camera comes complete with loads of ways to send snaps to your mates, including Bluetooth and DLNA connectivity - all in a very slick outer shell.

  • PROBLEM WITH GPS:

Hi everyone, i am constantly experiencing a problem with the GPS in this camera.

Every time i am on high elevations (on mountains for example) at 5-6 thousand ft or higher, just when the GPS is about to get a satellite fix and turn green, the camera totally freezes and the only way to reset or turn it off it to take the battery out !!

This is very frustrating - since the main reason i went with this camera was the GPS.

Anyone else has the same problems??

  • NOPE - you have two options (under DLNA - Image Size) .. one option is "Original" and the other is "2MP".

P.S. she said that you can capture Full HD 1080p (0:58) .. it is actually 720p @ 30 fps for the CL65 for sure (and i am pretty sure the ST1000 is the same)

  • Does it have a flash for when u use it at night??

  • @APrintezis ah then i dont know

  • @chunkymonkeyable L O L !!! but i like to get high !!! : ))

anyway, there are many places even in Az where i am now, that the ground elevation is higher than that - even the rim of the grand canyon is over 8k in some places. Anyway, the car GPS is working, another pocket GPS i have for geotaging works, the cellphone gps works .. so why does the camera freak out?! (i heard a similar story from another guy that bought this).

  • @APrintezis mayb its not ment to go that high!

  • yes, when the GPS works it is fine !

  • 720p for me (and if possible wide lens) - unless you have a tripod and don't need to pan much, the 1080 captures every little shake and it gets bothersome to watch.

  • which one is better 720p or 1080i?

  • is it the black/gold version or the completel black version?

  • ST1000 has great features like Wi-Fi and GPS. Nice camera!
