It is unknown who the original writer of this song is. It was made popular by Lead Belly and again by Nirvana when Kurt Cobain sang it during the MTV unplugged recording. The lyrics to this song have been changed and switched around by many different musicians. This song is also known as "In The Pines" & "Black Girl"
My cousin insisted that I cover this song. Before today I didn't really know this song. I'm am sure that I heard it before because I have listened to Nirvana but I just wasn't familier with it. Anyway, I can really relate to this song and I am sure there are a lot of other people who also can. The lyrics are so simple yet very strong. Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy.
