This is a standard Escos-may be faster off the line, but really wouldn't be over the distance. I love Escos & I am feeling the pain of the RS's too, but see my comment above. One is fast ford history now, as much as we hate it, the technology that has gone into the MK2 RS is just insane, and when they really get hold of the mapping, we are gonna see some crazy power and speed from a FWD. I have decided to just embrace it now, no point fighting anymore as I am going to look like an idiot...lol

As for R26RvFRS, what a ridiculous argument. One a fast road car, one a track car; regardless what people say, putting road legal tyres on does not necessarily make it a car for the road...

The novelty of driving a marginaly faster R26R will wear off very quickly on any journey that is a) over 20mins long or b) takes you off a B road and onto a motorway or A road. You really start to miss having aircon or music or being able to take your family anywhere or hear yourself speak; FRS a winner!

I see this video as more of a celebration of new and old. The Escos is timeless, but engine technology has come on so much over the last 15 years that you could never expect it to compete unless you have spent silly money on it. The fact of the matter is this, if you want an Escos to better a MK2 FRS, you will need to spend more that the price of a MK2 FRS, or certainly will get very close to it. Its horses for course; one is a fantastic piece of fast ford history, the other is the future...

Escort cosworth is in another dimension and yes has anti lag etc beacouse born for rally and is homologasion special and rare. Thats the reason that many guys love this car. don't compare with focus rs everyday use car. Like compare 205 T16 that race in group b and also homologasion special with 207 rc. Learn your job first and then we talk about that. This is for FORD. Start to make a 4wd focus cosworth, look the pleasure and the costumers and not your pocket. Have a nice day.

Not all the MK1's have been thrashed. there are loads out there that are in mint condition with dirt low mileage in standard form (no mods)
