For twenty years, The Abraham Fund has been the leading international organization devoted to advancing reconciliation, peaceful coexistence and equal opportunity among Israel's Jewish and Arab citizens. This video documents a few of our major national initiatives -- working to mandate bilingual Hebrew and Arabic education, to instill values of respect and human rights within the national police, and to build regional cooperation among Arab and Jewish towns of the Galilee. "Keeping the Promise" reminds us of the promise enshrined in Israel's Declaration of Independence -- a promise which has not yet been fully kept to Israel's 20% Palestinian-Arab citizens.
In addition to the programs featured in the video, The Abraham Fund is also working on job creation and economic development, environmental cooperation and public policy advocacy at all levels of government. For more information, visit www.abrahamfund.org.
The Abraham Fund -- changing the landscape of Jewish-Arab relations in Israel.
I have always said if we sit and break bread together, so much of what is different, can become understood. It is our fear of the unknown that keeps us apart.

The message of the video is a real hopeful one.
The question is whether or not the peace loving people in the video can withstand the incompatibilities of the extremists on both sides.
