Its just that, I can see that if tasers were allowed to be used in such cases as these, people with language problems can really be misinterpreted by police and be tasered. If for example, I was using my first language to persuade a family member its safe to come out of the car, and the police taser me in that moment, and it was allowed to be like that, or worse if they tasered my family member, I would not be secure about the justice system. What an unbelievably mindless argument. The level of pain induced by the Taser absolutely qualifies as TORTURE.

There certainly are circumstances where its use is justified, and in such circumstances the Taser has done great good -- saved lives, even.

But to suggest that using it any time an officer encounters belligerence or hesitation is to support America's decline into a police state.

The use of a device that incapacitates via torture should be reserved for extreme situations ONLY.
