Jennifer Clark of The Compass, student newspaper of Gainesville State College, Gainesville Campus, interviews faculty member Stanley Bermudez, the artist behind the controversial "Heritage?" painting. The painting was removed from the Roy C. Moore Art Gallery at the Gainesville Campus in January.

    Frankly I think you should do it anyhow and screw those assholes. :)

    The original idea was to have a companion piece, in other words have a second confederate flag with positive images on it. However, I creaated this one first and it got censored before I could even do the second one. I will probably never make it because of the whole controversy.

  • If it were a truly balanced piece of art it would also have positive images of that flag's use on it as well as the ones shown...but then again I doubt objectivity was on this guy's sick mind when he came up with it.
