How do you sleep 1x1:i must be dreaming?

Its been one year, two months, one week and 4 days since she left.
So you see, there was this girl who was well, IS pretty much amazing; i loved her but i never said it much and when she left i realized how much she meant to me.
She knew when she was leaving and where she was going, i was the only one who didnt know so we didn't say goodbye properly but she left a note in my room.
I keep the note under my pillow reading it over and over again before i go to sleep at night wondering if she'll ever come back, why she left in the first place and why she didn't even say goodbye to my face.
The last words that she said to me were 'i hate you' as we had a petty little fight which was all my fault and your probably wondering what the last thing i said to her was? whatever.
I know i know, im making it sound like she died or something but it was me who died inside i know it sounds all soppy and im supposed 2 be a guy ect but i was crushed when she left me and had no contact.
Im quaterback on the football team so i suppose you could say i was part of the "popular" clique, but im not a jerk well atleast i don't think i am? anyway she was just a Normal high school girl, not a cheerleader, Not a nerd, just completly normal which i loved most about her though i loved loads of things about her, how when i was mad or annoyed she'd just look at me with that smile across her face and i'd be ok again,
How she would let me go with my friends when i'd promise we would spend time together and many other things, if i even began to tell you what i loved about her it would take days.
The guys keep saying im still unfocused and need to move on, they try to make me go to parties and hook up with other girls each time i very nearly hooked up with a girl i'd imagine it was her i was kissing, but it still wasnt the same, it wont ever be the same.
Theres a box under my bed, with all the stuff she gave to me or left at my house, sitting on my bed i bend over looking under it and grab the box opening it the first thing i see is the polaroid we took at the carnival with a silly pair of sunglasses on, September 24th 2007. I laugh. I empty the box onto my bed; a bunch of things fall onto the bed, her dogtags i gave her, some bead braceletes, a bobby pin, a bra [long story, you may think i'm a bit perverted for keeping it, but what else was i supposed to do with it? i promise. im not a pervert ;)] and more things.
I pick the dogtags up and kiss it;just then my younger brother nick walks into my room, without even knocking as usual.
End of pov.
Nick:[barges in but then stops when he sees his brother] oh.. sorry i didn't know you were-
Joe:[looks at the dogtags in his hands then drops it into the box and puts all the other stuff back into the box then looks back at nick blankly]
Nick:Look dude, shes gone the last thing she would want you to do is mope around.
Joe:then why'd she leave without a single word
Nick:she probably thought it wouldve been easier that way, for both of you but obviously not. Anyway are you ready for school cause' im going now if you want a ride.
Joe:yeah two secs.
Nick:K ill be in the car.
Joe:[gets his backpack and takes a last look at the picture of him & her, he picks it up and kisses it then places it back on his nightstand then runs downstairs+gets into the car]
Nick:[chuckles lightly] i can't believe you haven't even got your license yet and i HAVE.
Joe:well i just have other priorities.
Nick:if you say so.
[At school, 3rd period English]
Miss May:Come on settle down settle down. Right we have a new student today so i hope you all make her feel welcomed. [looks outside the door] You can come in now demi.
Joes Pov.
My throat stung and my body froze as soon as i heard her name, it can't be her.
The girl walked in, she had a very dark shade of brown, maybe black with sunkissed skin she looked so familiar but wouldn't she of atleast called? well probably not, she didnt say she was going last time...
Miss May:take a seat next to joseph.
Dem:[sits down in the seat next to joe and looks at him then smiles] hi.
Joe: uh- [joes thoughts:am i dreaming?]
