  • I love my LAG winter. For a 'bread and butter' guitar it is fab. I also have the Autumn Jumbo (cedar top) which is not quite as good as the winter but has a superb bass. Apart from my Martin, my Taylor and my Stonebridge which were considerably more expensive - the LAG winter is my favourite.

  • Good playing, a shame the sound is so poor. I spent a long time trying to decide between buying a LAG and a Faith guitar, so it was interesing to hear a LAG being played .... albeit in not the best of recording situations. I eventually settled on buying a Faith.

  • @AlanSturgess Yes, I'm afraid its not a good recording. It was only done on a very simple camera but the guitar itself is absolutely superb. I have two of the 4 seasons set. Both different. Both excellent. The autumn cedar jumbo and the winter solid spruce top. I also have a Taylor, a Martin and a Stonebridge and the LAG is not disgraced against them. For a 'bread and butter guitar costing around £250 they are both excellent.

  • @Oldgirl2000 As you'll know, the 4 seasons range is being discontinued and will be replaced by a widened Lamontane range. I've now also bought a Lag Parlor and a Lag 300N. Demos of both are on Youtube - the parlor features the 5-setting Lag Studio system which I'm OK with, but I prefer the old-style bass/treble/eq systems. It's interesting that Lag have now added a 2nd pickup to some of their guitars so that the Studio system uses the presets AND bass/treble controls. Mayb e bit over the top??
