As near as I can figure, "Cheap Wine" is a song sung by Frank. Now, Frank is behind the counter selling cigarettes and beer in "Asa Jone's Blues." He kills Earl the bum with a baseball bat and frames Asa for it in "King Earl," but that's OK because he gets shot by a robber looking for fame in "Public Record Rag."
None of these songs sound even remotely alike, but I love each and every one of them.

@judeseamus This is drop D. He also tunes the other strings down by maybe a third of a tone for a slightly 'flatter' sound.

Such a haunting tune and makes a bit more sense when ya know the other song's that go with it tocomplete the story.
I saw Charlie the other day and he played this, just fucking amazing
