  • Nice drumming.

Just a piece of advice :

You should buy a cowbell in order to have a sound more "afro-cuban" or use rimshots on toms.

I find afro-cubans rythms with a cymbal kinda weird.

    Cheers.

  • @Stareplue I already have cowbells. I don't always use them though. Btw you can play cascara patterns on the bell of cymbals. Check out my newer videos.

  • Thank you so much, I'm composing for a latin big band and I was figuring out the rhythm :)

  • hey man nice groove. Ya the afro-cuban grooves you were playing were not "authentic" but neither were most back in the Gillespie era with that kinda quaze latin feel mixing the Mambo bell and cascara patterns together which are very solid. But with the Brazilian grooves I thought you kept it pretty traditional with your grooves and especially with the emphasis on beat 2 emulating the surdo part and adding some funky partido alto parts. good stuff!! a little rough on your fill on 1:37 though.

  • more cowbell..
