Thank you for the correction everyone. This video is actually of Mike Swain vs Chang-Su Li of North Korea.

Originally I thought this video was of Koga and Mike Swain. Toshihiko Koga and Mike Swain have faced off 3 times, Koga winning 2 of 3. This is their first meeting in the 1987 World Championships in which Mike Swain was on fire. He won gold, beating not only Koga but Marc Alexandre (next year's Olympic gold medalist).

that should have been an ippon for mike swain, not a wazari, but I have seen it many times the Japanese are naturally favored in Judo, it is psychological effect on all and any who practice judo, knowing judo came from japan we all feel subconsciously the best players are always Japanese. Therefore we always look to the Japanese winning, such as with American basketball, as an example.
