Missing Paintings $5 Million Reward if Found

This Video was from the Nighline interview from Autumn of 2004. It is a rare interview of the circumstances involving the Art Heist at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. On March 17, 1990 two Men dressed as fake policemen tied up museum employees upon entry into the museum. After the Museum workers were tethered, the fake cops were about to undergo the largest Theft in U.S. History; The two men stole over $520 Million dollars worth of artwork as well as Artifacts not mentioned in this interview footage. Among other masterpieces, the thieves stole an extremely valueable Oil Painting painted by Vermeer in Delft, Holland in 1664. That painting Measured: 72.5 cm × 64.7 cm (28.5 in × 25.5 in). Other mentioned works in this video that are gone are (3) Rembrandts, a Portrait of a Baron by Manet, Rembrandt's only known Seascape of Christ in the Sea of Galilee, and several other Artifacts. A 22 Carat Gilt Bronze Finial in the shape of an Eagle that once belonged to Napoleon Buonaparte himself was a "Break-and-Grab" from a Glass Case within the Gardener Museum just as they were exitting the Gallery. Also stolen were an extremely small Miniature self-portrait of Rembrandt himself, as well as an Ancient Chinese Ku dating back to 11th Century, China. The 2 men disguised as policemen stole 16 paintings Total from the Museum's permanent collection as well as paintings on loan from private owners that were touring Boston at the time of the theft.
