Never had a crank go out or piston. Cut timber 6 day's a week, one 044 was 8 year's old, i gave it to my boy to cut firewood with. I ran 32 to one mix. A STIHL would hold up tp to my pace, i ran HUSKY before i went to STIHL, they did not hold up. I had 6 men working fore me, hard on saw's, the STIHL took there beating. HUSKY DID NOT

Do you have a modded oil pump on there? I want to put a 28 inch bar on my 361 until I get enough cash for a 460 or 660 but Ive seen people on a few websites say you have to put a 460R oiler on in or else it will burn the bar. Also how much of a power increase will porting get you? I have a big bore kit on my 361 and wana know if porting would have added a similar power increase.

That chainsaw is insane!! Stihl recommend an 18" bar for the 361 and still that saw was pushing a 28"like it was nothing.

Seems like a lot of bar for a 361!

Good work on your 361. I am amazed with the power and the 28" bar.
I have 4/361s. The are the class leader in the 59cc and under class. IMO.

we have a ms310 w/20" bar and it seems to struggle up at our 6000' altitude.
can you tell me would the ms361 have much more power?

Bought an MS 650 a couple months back. Run a 42" to rip red oak logs, or a 28" to run through timber. Great saws, would never buy anything else.

try the stihl ms-460 its a kick ass saw.
Skip chain? Was curious about putting one on mine.
