  • You didn't know they joked about weed on '50s TV, did ya? It comes later in this sketch, regarding the Fairy Godmother and her wand.

  • @FnordicQueen View my video "Ernie Kovacs - Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture, Part 2" and you'll hear another "weed" reference while talking about his studio crew. He flew under the radar in both instances. The ABC Television Network censors at the time apparently didn't catch it or care!

  • "bazaar"?

  • @moproducer Very bazaar! No doubt his humor could be considered an acquired taste. To some that was part of Kovacs' appeal.

  • @rolko52 I appreciate the sentiment, but could I ask you to go to the dictionary & look up the word "bazaar"? I guess, in terms of the marketing of commercial television and the advertising potential of the medium, evening TV itself could be considered a definitive bazaar.

Did you happen to mean "bizarre"?

  • @moproducer Thanks Webster. Or are you related to Funk or Wagnalls?
