A tutorial on how to create a gouged eye effect with makeup for the group Flesh-freaks on deviant art. It's a bit sporadic and crazy, I know, but deal with it. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments. Thanks to Mariah for modeling and Will for filming/narrating, haha.

  • how do you make knotts geletasin for blood?

  • @BiohazardXBeauty For the sake of finding it at the grocery store, it's knox geletin. : ) Anyway, pour some of the powder into a non-melting bowl. Heat water till hot, possibly boiling. (I use a tea pot or microwave) Pour a very small amount into the powder and stir. It should dilute but still be thick enough to cling to your stirring utensil. To color I like to do a 3:1/2 drop red food coloring:blue food coloring, but you can test what you like best. For texture finely crushed cereal is fun.

  • the finishing product was pretty cool. the tutorial was kinda annoying to watch but its still a pretty cool effect

  • This video has been very informative! Thank you! I am planning on being the maid from 'American Horror Story' for Halloween. No one else had used pantyhose over the eye. I was wondering how I was going to walk around all night with only one eye. Thanks so much!

  • AWESOMENESS

  • @johannaraeram0ne TYVM THIS IS SO HELPFUL YUR AMAZING, LOVE THE VIS :D thumbs up and subscribing!!!

  • eh. Could be better. Doesn't look real enough. PlaceboFXMakeup made some points on why its 2nd rate, but thats only the start of it.

  • What's going on there /around/ the eye? With an injury like this, zombie or not, the skin would be a dark red, with maybe a bit of purple, for bruising. A brown would only happen if the area was burned, and a burn that mild would not obliterate the eye like shown here.

  • this is brilliant, thank you! I

  • This is so cute!! BTW check out my contest, I think you will like itt!! :D
