I am friends with the driver of the 911 and I was at the track that day. I know a lot of people are very emotional over this accident and I sympathize. I am glad no one was seriously hurt. There are some facts that should be included here:

Thank you for your input, as it's always good to hear another perspective regarding the situation. As far as the meatball flag, when I pulled into paddock and asked the spectators on the stands what had happened, three or four seemed to agree that the Porsche driver did indeed get flagged and quite some time had passed since he finally pulled off-line. Their testimony along with what I heard about the Porsche driver from the Suzuka driver painted a completely different picture than yours.

As far as the corner worker, the fact that a yellow flag had not been thrown by the time I had got to the esses (mind you this is after the Porsche driver spilled coolant, 350Z spun and went off, Suzuka S2000 spun and went airborne, Apex CR spun and went off), tells me the corner worker was either oblivious or just plain stoned.

From what I heard from the Suzuka owner, the fluid on the track was coolant. The Porsche driver actually knew at the start of the day that his radiator hose would periodically slip off. I think he was grossly negligent by not only tracking a car that is not in safe running order, but also not pulling off track as soon as he was flagged. If what I have heard is true, his negligence caused the damage of three S2000s, and at the very least should be banned from future events.

Don't you guys tech your cars or at least have the organizer of the event tech them?
Sounds like this could of been somewhat avoided especially if the owner of the porsche knew the hose comes off periodically.
Then there's the issue of the corner worker, but in all reality, if you see dust ahead of you, slow down.
Glad nobody was hurt.

SpeedVentures uses self-tech forms.
Yes, we should slow down when we see dust. But it was white flag out, corner worker wasn't doing anything, so I figured it was from someone who went off in the front straight or even the last complex of turns before the skidpad.
What I've learned from this incident is to not trust corner workers.
