Saint Lucia gets IMF loan

Opposition Leader Dr. Kenny Anthony is calling on Prime Minister King to list the conditions set by the International Monetary Fund to provide funding to Saint Lucia. This week, the IMF approved a US$10.7 million loan to the government under its Exogenus Stock Facility.
Dr. Anthony says Saint Lucians need to know the loan conditions, but the Press Officer to the Prime Minister is assuring the public the lending terms were highly concessionary.

The economy is bleek all over the world he makes one feel like St.Lucia is the only country begging for a loan this man will never stop whatever he's up too will backfire in his face. Please do not tell me that my people are so stupid they do not know the world is in slow motion with spending yea right Kenny play your tune for the idiots not the smart ones.I've been living abroad for many many years it's the first time i see so many of my friends with no jobs some loosing their homes it's rough.

I hardly call what Dr. Anthony stated as conditions for a loan. Sounded more to me like the IMF just stated those conditions as a formality.

1) Collect taxes better.

2) Spend more.

3) Spend less.

Hardly the currency devaluing, VAT implementing conditions we all dread.

If anything Dr. Anthony only proved that the PM fibbed a little.
