A man using a buried truck axle as a potters wheel to make roof tiles. The circular tubes he makes are split in half creating two semi circular roof tiles, similar to Chinese style roof tiles.

  • what clay is used. where do they find it. how do they preapare it?

  • @klett69 The clay was cut from a local river bed...as far as preparation...i can not answer this as i didnt see any preparation other than cutting the clay blocks into smaller sizes.

  • I only wish i could remember the name of his village...but it was betwwen Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

  • So when you go to shops there and they say "yes, these 5,000 pots we have in stock really were made by hand" they're not lying o.O

  • @moonjannatstar In some parts of Canada pottery is really popular. I help teach it in Ottawa and I know that it's really huge in PEI. You could probably find somewhere if you take a look.
