Amen Corner-Hello Suzie 1969 lyrics.

Every body sat here waiting for the train to come
just laid down a bright-red carpet for her to step on
looking through the band i see her waving her hands at me
her looks were tanned and quite amazingly she ran to me

Hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me the news about yourself
hello Suzie hello Suzie
tell me that you've enjoyed yourself

Frantically she knocked me over causing such a scene
Shook the crowd enough to sway the intrest from the queen
her black transistor socked out one o'clock radio
completely drowned the band and loud enough to stop the show

Hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me the news about yourself
hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me that you've enjoyed yourself

Yes sir, rock and roll the day away
come on everybody
they all seem too keen to make a scene
come on everybody, gotta kick the dust away

Hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me the news about yourself
hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me that you've enjoyed yourself

Hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me the news about yourself
hello Suzie, hello Suzie
tell me that you've enjoyed yourself.

  • @60snot4sale Surprised you haven't heard of them. If you were American, it would be understandable, but with "60s" in your label, I am VERY surprised you haven't heard of them. Hollies ? Sound nothing like them.

Andy Fairweather-Low - he had a few solo hits "Wide eyed and legless" probably being most known.

  • love the move but like this version of hello susie better !

  • Dies ist Original

  • @60snot4sale They were more of a 'showband' than the Hollies ever were...good time music all the way.

  • I think one of the members of this band also went on to be part of the band Pilot who had a big hit with the song January back in 1976

  • @60snot4sale They also had rather big hits with 'If Paradise is Half as Nice' and 'Bend Me, Shape Me'...

  • I just LURVED this song in 1969 and still love it today. It was written by the inimitable Roy Wood!!!
