if there is one thing i can't stand is abuse, whether it's child abuse, or elder abuse, and all the other abuses in between. but abusing the elderly is tops. they were there when we needed tham, why can't we be there when they need us?

Remember, if the 2011 Congressional budget plan (the "Ryan Plan") is passed, these people will be given a check for $9,000 and have to negotiate and buy their own health insurance and care.

And yet, for some strange reason, the so-called Christian right continues to vote for and support people like Ryan.

I am a Long Term care Ombudsman (resident advocate) in nursing homes. I go to 35 facilities. This is a very powerful video. I do trainings at nursing homes also called sensitivity training. I have written two of them. This would be a great video to show at the end of our presentation. Great Job.

@MsHellandback I have worked in Nursing homes since I was 18 years old and have been a CNA since 1985. I have had people fired in the past for abuse. Something I will not stand for. These are human beings not just a piece of meat or a paycheck. They have feelings both mental and physical. Sadly things like this do occur though,

I'm starting work in a nursing home soon and if I catch anyone abusing an elderly patient there will be hell to pay and I don't care if I lose my job, this video really upset me, but i'm glad you've shown it people need to know what can happen to innocent defenceless people who can't fight back or do anything about.
