ALL NEW! Here is the intro to a battle between the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. This game is notable for a couple of things. Dan Marino became the first quarterback ever to pass for 400 TDs and 2 Super Bowl winning coaches in Jimmy Johnson and Mike Ditka coaching their second teams. From a broadcasting perspective, this was also 1 of only 3 regular season Miami Dolphins games ever called by the CBS/FOX lead team of Pat Summerall and John Madden (1993 vs. the Giants and 1996 vs. Dallas were the others). Why so few with a then-marquee team like Miami? Well, most of Miami's signature home games against NFC squads were scheduled as night games on ABC or ESPN. Of the 3, this is the only Dolphins win.
Oh how things have changed. Late November, in a playoff race (and I believe tied with the Jets for the division) and UNDEFEATED at home...now by late November this year we'll probably have already clinched last place in the AFC East and will be winless at home SMDH :-(

@professorintellect Yup! That was when we had a home field advantage (Unlike today at No Life Land Fill Stadium or whatever they call it now)... The loss to the Jets at home in late December was the only thing keeping Miami from an undefeated home record (I think we would have still lost the tiebreaker with them at 11-5 for the division)... I disagree with just one thing... it won't by late November sewing up last place... it will be mid-October if things don't improve... FAST! :)
