I think the only nations that have a chance to put their flag on Mars are China and India and of the two the most likely is China. Apart from that the only other serious competitor is likely to be an international conglomerate of space industries backed by the international community - hence no flag except a mission flage like in this video. The days where an American government will plant the first flag on another world are in the past.

im pretty sure if there was life on mars there isnt anymore due to the fact they will have all been destroyed hence the stupid plan of lets all go live on mars, but only if you have millions to spare in the very near future lol (50-70 years)

The truth has been surpressed. The real level of technology is about 10000 years ahead of pulbic technology. Its source is alien. E.g.: space fleet of faster than light capable ships, teleportation to bases on Mars and Moon, outposts on several bodies of this solar systems. This already the case. The bullshit will end in 2016, disclosure may begin this or next year.
