How do I cancel the Bitlocker encrypting process .... **once it has started ???** ..... *theres no option to stop it once it begins??!!!* ....... so I'm sitting here encrypting a 500 gig drive, with near 400 gig of data on it....... realizing quite quickly its actually going to take 900 ******* years!! ... for it to finnish!
nice one.... ;-S

You will not be able to cancel the encryption, once you start it.But you can suspend or resume the encryption.
1. Open Bit locker Drive Encryption by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Bit locker Drive Encryption.
2. Do one of the following:
To temporarily suspend Bit Locker, click Suspend Protection, and then click Yes.
To turn off Bit Locker and decrypt the drive, click Turn off Bit Locker, and then click Decrypt Drive.
