Lotus Eaters released this epically packaged CD on Troubleman Unlimited in 2007.

Lotus Eaters is a super group of sorts, comprised of Aaron Turner from Isis, James Plotkin from Atomsmashers and underground metal darling, Stephen O'Malley. What instrument or devices each respective musician use on this album may never be known.

Wurmwulv is an album comprised of slow building church bell atmosphere, gradually snowballing into a creepy, clanging, underground sewer / dungeon sounding environment. This album reminds me of being in an empty prison, haunted by many other worldly beings, all banging on rusted pipes and whooshing through the air.

Very sparse, very strange, very experimental. No definitive songs or structure. Just otherworldly sounds capes and humming. Definitely not for everyone, but if you're into ambient, atmospheric sound collages, this might be right up your alley.

Experimental church bell electronica anyone ?

3.5/5

  • I see you've grown one in the meantime though.

My moustache totally sucked though. Good riddance.

  • meh I can't think of any instance in which I would want to listen to this kind of music.

  • Me neither.

I just thought it was cool that this music existed.

  • just because you have a web-cam, doesn't mean you have to let EVERYONE know your opinion. first off: nobody cares. Secondly: you're rude.

if you actually took the time to look into wurmwulv and did some research, you'd realize WITH the packaging, the whole idea was an art piece they put together. art you can hear. it's a concept piece. it IS music. music doesnt need rhythm or structure. it's whatever you, the artist wants it to be. open your mind or stop listening. it's that easy.

  • Yeah man, that's definitely some type of old Industrial Ambient music, nice stuff.
