Joe, nice of you to say that but you must be watching some other clip. The kid can play but he is not on the level of RF. Steal the show? Maybe if you are his mom. I do wish him success though. Listen to Robben's solo and then Bradens. Robben hits all the changes and accents the chord tones. Braden almost exclusively noodles in one mode. He's got talent but needs to shed a lot more. He'll get there. Listen to Kenny Garrett or even Robben's bud Bob Malach for instance.

this is braden smith, the saxophonist in this video. i would just like to thank robben ford and toss panos as well as the other members of the band for allowing me to play with them during this concert. i am so grateful for the opportunity that they gave me.
