Here, the Machete amp's Channel Two is set for a lower-gain, touch sensitive tone with a Charvel San Dimas set to neck-position humbucker. Though the Machete is an extremely aggressive high-gain amplifier, it also responds well to jazzier, bluesier, progressive playing. • not gonna lie but I've been looking for the perfect tone.... and I think i might of found it

  • @Maxx61

Its MSRP is $2599, which means it actually gonna sell at about $1,600. And I don't think Fender is going for the mass market on these things. Likely they'll only make a couple hundred or so, instead of trying to compete in the high gain market where they haven't had a strong presence since the MetalHead Amp.

  • @75MediumRare75 You mean might have? You know the meaning of simple words like "have" and "of", right? No? OK, carry on.

  • Hey don't disrespect the fender metal head, it actually was a decent amp. Oh lordy lordy it didn't have tubes, a lot of metal guitarists from the 90s used ss heads. Chuck and dime to name a few.

  • Sorry Fender but its not going to workout. I love fender guitars dont get me wrong, all guitars I own are fender and will always be fender. Amps however, no. its Marshall or Peavey for me.

  • @ibanezbloke Really? mmm..interesting. You know what, your exactly right. I did sound hypocritical. That is not what I was trying to convey, but I can see how it would be read like that. My bad. I was really just trying to say that there are so many negative comments on some of the other Fender demos that were unjustified, and that this is finally something I think they got right, so there shouldn't be too many negative things to say about this one. I just chose my words poorly

  • Let's get serious shall we? This amp, which retails for $2,599 can't even compete sonically with a $600 Bugera 6260. If Fender is going to try and shill us a high gain amp, does it really cost almost $3K to get there? My prediction? It will last as long as their Metalhead.
