Which means the movie utterly fails, as the actual target audience is non-Christians; Atheists to be more precise.

You sound sheepishly obedient to your indoctrination. The problem is the bible is one of the worst books we can invoke on issues of morality or guidance. It's replete with barbarism, and there's nothing in the bible to suggest it was authored by an omniscient deity. There's nothing about dna or the internet, nothing about infectious disease, nothing you'd expect from an omnipotent creator, but a lot about who to kill and why, how to keep slaves, etc. It's not a candidate book.

Ask yourself what kind of god would allow people to choose their religions on accident of their birth. If someone is born in Pakistan, they're more than likely going to be Muslim, while someone born in Alabama is likely going to be Christian. And these religions make incompatible, conflicting claims for the one true god. It's an oddly provincial god that would let this happen. Not very consistent with a loving or omniscient god.
