A 50 year old dude sweating in the studio, using every gadget and trick in the book that 15 year old kids do now. EVH has become a parody of himself. I respect his early work, his mastery of the instrument, and his dedication to work hard to become great. But.....this is nothing of any of that, in any way. This is really bad, really sad, and a shell of his former self. It's been said that this was right before going into rehab, and I believe it.

Eddie Van Halen really isnt that talented. He's so predictable, and redundant. He's really no one to care about.

This is so wholly totally predictable = play and hold a few notes, bend them around, screech a bit, seque into wank, hold the note, overdo each one, repeat. What is this Catherine the song is wailing about?

its not sad to me @dlrsisvh, all of us are not the same as we were when we were younger, edward made a huge contribution to music and guitar playing, he will foreever be the most influential guitarist in the world.

I'm a Eddie and Van Halen fan from day one. I play guitar and have done the melt down guitar sessions for 8 to 16 hours at a time, time and time again. He his doing a great job of reinventing himself. I to have gone through a ruff life and I can tell you this guy is giving you so much of himself. Bravo Eddie God Bless.
