In a letter to the council, Finance Director Bill Elrite wrote that one of the key items this year was developing a four-year budget plan. Staff is recommending that the city's general levy be set at $8,052,142, and the resolution reaffirms previously approved bond levies that total $1,023,283 for infrastructure bonds, the public safety building and Murzyn Hall's energy improvement bonds. The council will also vote on a resolution that authorizes the mayor and city manager to enter into a police service contract with the city of Hilltop.
