Yes Sir/Ma'am - easier times then eh?

Oh for a time machine ;)) Be well!

  • Thanks for posting, this took me back in more ways than one. Your last photo was taken in HMV Wolverhampton in 1979 when they were promoting Eton Rifles. I know cos I'm on the photo! Got in trouble for being late back to work afterwards but at 18 who cares, The Jam had signed my parka! Life is timeless, days are long when you're young :-)

The photo appeared in the local Express & Star newspaper a day or two later, but not seen it since, till now. Wonder where you got it from? Cheers anyway!

Please forgive the lateness fo my reply, I have been on active service away.

You jammy fucker!!! ;)) How lucky are you? I'd sell both my balls and what's left of my soul to have been there!! ;))

Thanks for taking the time to comment mate ;) Be well!

  • @owenofglasgow2 Aye - I love listening to the box set in the garden getting hammered on brandy and just floating away.

The Jam sculpted my life, my friends too in our youth, we r now old gits but our hearts we are the mods we are the mods, we are we are, we are the mods, great bloody times!!!

  • Over her ein the US I was one of a very few people who had even heard of the Jam let alone liked their music. To this day, they're my favorite band. They were awesome, not sure if they ever toured over here but as I was in college at the time, I probably couldn't have affored it. My peers were too busy following the Grateful Dead around the US to care about the Jam. TOO BAD!!

  • Love the Jam!

  • wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wud like to say this is the best song they ever did, but that wud be insulting the other hundred great tracks they [produced, an absolutely brilliant band, cud listen to them for ever and ever, thanks!!!

  • for me personaly ,all mod cons was one of the best albums from this period [78] good stuff, good memories.this track pure gold.

  • the jam mean so much to ppl says it all really

  • Homages to both the Kinks songs Johnny Thunder and Arthur, in one song? Genius.
