my sheltie frazier was hit by a car and broke his back before we got him from a friend but he had just a broken back. but after we got him...... if he got excited, he would have a seizure. :( one day we found him laying in the hallway....... but he was gone. im so sad.

Thanks for all the comforting words guys, I think the hardest thing is for the owner not to think of them after the love has gone, it's been almost 2 months but I'm still miss them like crazy!

I've lost 2 of mine in less than one month due to age old both 14 & 18 years old they were like my children, I can surely related to the pain of putting them down! The minute I've lost them my whole world has turn upside down up to now I'm still grieve!

i don't "have" or "own my collie, "Shawn'. He owns my heart.

When my collie needed to be put down I held her in my arms until she breathed her last breath. It was the saddest day of my life and I was in 8th grade. They are the best dogs and best companions anyone could ever have. My parents now have two litter mates who are getting pretty old too now and I am not looking forward to the day that I have to say goodbye to them.
