Excellent job breaking this down- thank you! I took lessons from Mike(several years ago) but never asked him to show me this fill although he played it for me once on a whim. What preamps/gear are you using to record the kit here? Sounds really good.

Very nice little fill...i too like to see some sheet music as my drum coach has trained me this way. I will be following the link to download the PDF later. Thank you and keep them coming. Don't know whether any other drummers out there find this but im completely addicted to the para-didddle diddle and try and incorporate it wherever i can...

@ItsDopyy Thanks for your comment. The only reason I didn't show this particular fill/lick with a groove is because on the track that I've taken it from there is no groove! The next section, post flam is Guitar only. In some of my other videos I do include some 'time' but as I have taken this example from an intro of a specific track I though it might be misleading or confusing.
Thanks for the feedback and I'll try to accommodate this in the future.
All the best, Daz.
What kit is that? Also do more timing lessons on how to incorporate things like this that start on odd beats into different time signatures, and speeds. Also do some lessons of explaining some fills and beats from Tower Of Power's drummer David Garibaldi, that would be sick.

@MikeDrumsForFun It's a Pearl Masterworks Kit, maple bass drum and birch toms. Sizes 22"x16", 10"x8, 12"x9" & 14"x10. Pearl Sensitone brass snare drum 14"x 5.
I'll add Garibaldi stuff to the list.
Best of luck, Daz

I think it'd be easier for people to understand if you had some sheet music or something like that. Something for me to see helps me when i'm learning something. Hope you add that in the future.

@BlackOfTheNight You can obtain the PDF lesson notes to all of my free lessons by visiting the website. The link is in the notes underneath the video.
Hope that helps.
Merry Christmas and happy drumming!

Nice fill, to sad I can't play the double bass because of my paddle :(

@MrBenPablo You can use one kick drum note if you are having difficulty with two. A sneaky work around!
