This clip demonstrates how violation of sampling theorum may be used to create stop animations. The subjects in this video moved in time with a metronome. This clock source synchronized the capture of individual video frames. The capture sample rate (frame rate) was 1 approximately FPS or so, but the playback rate is approximately 30FPS. While the main subject in this film was jumping up and down the video only recorded the frames when he was in the air. The resulting illusion is that he is flying.
