thanks for the comment. You'II need a adapter for the connecting and take images in raw format. Try the moon first! A tracking mount is needed for taking long exposures. For more information have a look to my website.

awesome images! how big is the primary mirror on that reflector? Looks like it packs a punch!

That's probably the best astrophotography I've ever seen not using a dedicated astrophotography CCD camera. Very excellent work.

How come m42 wasn't exposed to bright but just right? How did you manage to get it perfect ,cause not long ago I photographed m31 andromeda and the center was more exposed then the rest ,but I did you afocal method with my canon T3 at 4sec exposure ,iso6400 at f3.5 ,the noise is ok,and focus is great but the center of m31 is too exposed, why? Thank you

The trick is easy. You need to make several exposures for each part of the nebula. The brighter center was captured with 12 images á 20 sec. Next to the center 12x1s than 10x300s and for the darkest areas 10x600s exposures. All these images were comined by layer masking. I hope the technique is clear. There are not many objects in the night sky which need to be treated like the great orion nebula!
