Madeleine Ann and Lescarpe demos & statements.

A quick confirmation from Madeleine Ann stating she's no longer selling fur, followed by a prolonged demo outside Lescarpe where protestors were subjected to blatant harassment from private security, but maintained their calm and carried on with the demo until Lescarpe too promised to confirm in writing they are no longer stocking fur.

Note, contains scenes of aggression from private security!

Clearly you are looking at a different pair of officers to us then! As said, the one officer is being very decent, calm, reasonable and negotiable with us, but the other cop does not like this and so constantly feels the need to interrupt, argue, make silly threats of arrest which he obviously could not follow up on, and act in an intimidating and immature way. Whilst he wasn't violent he did have a heavy-handedness about his attitude.

You are indeed missing something. The video shows respect towards the one police officer, who formed a negotiation with the protesters and the shop (we weren't allowed to speak to the shop owners face to face) in order to have them drop fur and confirm it.

However the other police officer, who clearly gets annoyed by the reasonable treatment and negotiation shown by the officer, is not good policing nor something to commend a "well done" on to him.

Well done goes to the decent officer only.

Am I missing something or should it not be 'well done' to the cops in this one? Looks like they were the ones that negotiated a deal to get the shop to stop selling fur. Maybe they should be recruited to do the protesting/negotiating in future.

Jon I have to beg to differ,this is not heavy handed ness by the PC or the security guard in any shape or form,I myself am vegan anti fur trade and ex member of hunt sabs in the 70s.I would say that both these guys were composed and reasonable.

Due to the antics of the police officer and private security officer you could well say it's like filming a comedy, but at the same time they were being heavy handed - as said in the video, it was their attitude being considered not numbers.
