I guess I can live with being told that I'm not as good as Cat Ctevens LOL. He is one of the greatest singer/writers of our generation so I don't feel too bad. I guess I learned the lyrics from the Rod Stewart version, at least that is the way I remember them. Hope you enjoy my other vids, but I have to warn you..... they are not as good as Cat Stevens either LOL! God Bless!

WEll, I see where I went wrong, this was sucg bya cnadian DJ in 1973 named Keith Hampshire, I always thought he wrote it since his was the first version I ever heard of this.

Hampshire and about 20 others recorded this. I've never heard his version but I'd have to say I favor Stewart's version over the rest, even the original. Thanks for listening John.
