This is a popular song that was originally written and sung by Cat Stevens. Rod Stewart later did a version and most recently by Sheryl Crow. This song worked for them, let's see if it does anything for me. LOL Enjoy!

  • this is one of my all time fav songs i would have said yours is better then cats the only reason i don't think it is!! you didn't sing with all the original lyrics!! but damn you sing it well one of the best iv heard

  • I guess I can live with being told that I'm not as good as Cat Ctevens LOL. He is one of the greatest singer/writers of our generation so I don't feel too bad. I guess I learned the lyrics from the Rod Stewart version, at least that is the way I remember them. Hope you enjoy my other vids, but I have to warn you..... they are not as good as Cat Stevens either LOL! God Bless!

  • I Love this, Steve!...It's absolutely wonderful!!!!

  • Thanks Patty,Peace!

  • WEll, I see where I went wrong, this was sucg bya cnadian DJ in 1973 named Keith Hampshire, I always thought he wrote it since his was the first version I ever heard of this.

    Wonderful performance again Steve!!

  • Hampshire and about 20 others recorded this. I've never heard his version but I'd have to say I favor Stewart's version over the rest, even the original. Thanks for listening John.
