  • John Morris is the greatest old time fiddler alive. Ruth (?) I think, is right up there with him. This is great stuff! 

  • @groundhogpeggy: thanks -- I think we've al got our picks for greatest, but John is fantastic, and crazily overlooked in some quarters, in my opinion; I love listening to him -- hopefully it's not audible in the background, but when he kicked up "Elzic's" we were all quoting (or misquoting) lines from 5th String: "you know he died in that bed..."
