The director's cut is the same game as the PS2 remake, except with a few extra additions like some moves now can be used in midair, Lion has new moves like a 3rd BC, Flash doesn't last as long so it's no longer as abusable (game balance yay), 6th arena rank (a boss rush), and there's an extra game mode called Lion's Side that basically plays the game with Lion as the main character. It's basically an improved update.
