Books were donated for the Nkhanga Village Library from Ann Arbor in Michigan, Bridgewater College community and Harrisonburg in Virginia in the United States. The 3,092 books were transported from the Capital City of Lusaka to the remote Lundazi district of the Eastern Province of Zambia a distance of 400 miles or 640 Kms in December 2011. The soon to be opened Nkhanga Village library has been under construction since 2007 using small public donations. The library will serve thousands children, men and women in over 50 villages and 5 schools in the area.
