now this is an emulator you are playing on correct? i got one and the "beta quest" option has me holding the r button when i go through the "portal" to another part of the game to end up in strange places, but all it does is drop me off the world. do you have any explaination for this? its pissing me off cuz i wanna play the "beta" like it is in yours, and other videos. it just seems so fun
@linksfood Oh, I'm not saying it's beta, it's just what people are used to calling it. And there are "leftover" bits in the cartridges themselves. And "beta" stuff isn't meant to be released anyway. I'm actually planning to document the different areas you can access, along with different things that are leftover in the game that could have been meant to be in the main game. It's all rather fascinating.
@linksfood The name "beta quest" has very little meaning behind it, as the data does
not come from a "beta" at all, it is simply what is left over... Though there are some interesting oddities such as missing houses and circles of rocks which do not exist in the same manner in the final game, which may
lead you to believe you are actually playing a beta.

yes, i understand what beta is. but, what i'm saying is, this isn't left over. it was never intended to be in the game. so it's not beta.

i wouldn't quite call this beta as much as hack to get to a certain extra place which can't normally be explored.
