Choosing a college is never easy. But when you live in Saipan, a pin-prick of an island in the South Pacific (and a part of the US Commonwealth), it can be especially difficult. This young woman turned down 20 other universities to attend the University of Wyoming. Here she explains why.
I lived in Laramie for 2 years and God I hated every minute of it. The wind is unbearable and there's just a creepy unsettled feeling about the town. Some of my friends got so depressed there they ended up leaving before finishing their degree. Everyday here is another day in hell! if you value your sanity stay out! This is a fair warning. Laramie is not a good place to live. If you enjoy feeling good about life then do not live in Laramie everyday you will feel miserable.

Saipan is not international. It is a "Commonwealth" of the United States, in which we are a self-governing island nation that voluntarily agreed to be linked to the US. Therefore, the CNMI is a US territory full of US soil. Furthermore, I am taking offense to the use of the word "pinprick" to describe my beautiful homeland. SAIPAN IS NOT a minor irritation nor a pin punctured insignificant wound of the South Pacific.
I wish the best of luck to the woman in this clip.
