モンキー（MONKEY）とは、本田技研工業が製造販売している原動機付自転車（小型レジャーバイク）の車種名。直近に発売された車種の形式はAB27。姉妹車のゴリラな­どと共に、総じて4MINIと呼ばれる。

改造

モンキー・ゴリラともに非常にシンプルな構造で、整備士資格を持たない素人でも比較的簡単に分解と組み立てが出来る。また搭載されるエンジンは数多くの車種に採用された横­型単気筒エンジンであり、基本的な構造は同じでも性能の違う部品が数多く存在する。それらの要因が重なったためか、発売以来、ショップだけでなく個人レベルでもエンジンの­チューニングやドレスアップなどの改造が楽しまれている。

車名の由来

それぞれ霊長類・類人猿のサル・ゴリラに因んでいる。なお発売にあたって決定された車名のモンキーについては、運転している人間の様がサルに似ているから、という一般的な­説のほかに、当時Z100が置かれていた多摩テックの近隣にある野猿街道から名付けられたという説もある。
