Feelings do change towards religions that choose to hold to the traditional belief that homosexuality is wrong. For example the prop 8 blacklist. people were forced to resign from jobs or else pay money to have their name removed. After prop 8 there was vandalism. In massachussetts christian adoption agencies had to close their doors or else consider same sex couples for adoption. Basically the state can peanalize an organization for their beliefs.

i feel that calling marriage a civil union sets our fellow americans apart from each other. i guess i won't be able to marry my 2 ketchup bottles together any more! i know many kids that call same sex partners married. it will change eventually. minds will open up and all people who choose to commit to each other will MARRY!

Thats the problem with all these liberal left wing activist, trying to redefine marriage; CA has spoken. Get over it. I can't believe during the elections these same liberal activist convinced Californians to give rights to chickens. I also feel sorry for all the teachers who were for prop 8, but had their union dues go to support no on 8. $1 million down the toilet. Now teachers are being laid off. Where is the UTA now?

Unconstitutional????

How many of you opposed to what California voters (that's me) mandated have READ the California Constitution? Apparently not many. Expressly Article-18, Section III states: "The electors may amend the Constitution by initiative." This is a RIGHT granted the PEOPLE, the MAJORITY of the People by operation of Article-18, Section IV. Wake up!

THE PEOPLE of California have spoken! Deal with it or move to Mass. Capisc??
