Our documentary this week focuses on the murder of one African student, whose death came to symbolise all racial killings in St Petersburg. It reveals how a post-Perestroika Russia, still searching for identity, is falling under the sway of the ultra-right.

Look, what Stalin did was worse in terms of numbers, yes. But Nazi also effected the people of Russia a lot. I have no doubt that if the Nazis had defeated the USSR they would have killed a lot more than Stalin ever did. All the Nazis needed as more time to do it. After all, Hitler regarded Russians (Slavic people) as an inferior race. Both Nazism and Stalinism were very bad and effected the Russian people greatly. It'd be tragic if  Russians decided to adopt either again.

I think it's more worse if the own leaders are killing the own people, than the enemy that is killing the own (soviet) soldiers. Plus: The SS had more important things to do than raping through russia, unlike the soviet soldiers were doing it in (old-)eastern germany.

The war between russia and germany is a bad part of the history, and i hope it will happen never again, but is was clearly neccessary to stop the bolsheviks from conquering europe.

Yes, but Russia SFSR was perhaps the most populous republic within the USSR. Most of its population was west of the Ural Mountains (in Europe) not in Asia. The Nazis invaded Russian European territory, not Russian Asian territory. Russians were directly effected by Nazi atrocities. The fact that millions of Russians were killed by political commissars under Stalin shouldn't and doesn't downgrade the fact that millions were also killed by the Nazis. Both were bad.

Do you really know what you speak about? The Soviet Union was MUCH larger than the russian parts in this world, most of it was inside Asia, so you just have to look on the globus to see what percentage the russians really had in the Soviet Union. Before you speak, you have to educate yourself about the topics you speak about, but don't speak about topics you know nothing about... There were more russians killed by political commissars than by the nazis.

If a Russian fights against a Russian, both sides are still Russian. "The Soviet Union didn't just have people of Russian descent in it." - Yes, but a large percentage of the Soviet Union were of Russian descent and it doesn't take away from the fact that MILLIONS of Russian fought and died in WW2 against the Nazis. They were not just Russians, because the Soviet Union didn't just have people of russian decent in it. And there were also russians on the german side, so it COULDN'T be a fight against the russians. Idiot.

The germans didn't fight the russians, they fight Bolshevism, and there were also russians on the side of the germans. Google for "Russian Liberation Army" and you will see that it's right. ;)

@keir193 okay yeah i see your points but i said nothing about black only fraternities i said there were no organizations specifically for and only for the genocide of a race. Sure these groups are unfair but who cares the world is unfair black people get a month so do Asians & Latinos guess what its white year all year round, but i do admit i was kinda wrong now that i consider the black panther but at the same time they didn't go to the extremes that any other racist organizations did
