"The Cat Inside" - William S. Burroughs Tribute (1997)

I was down and distant those early days of August 1997 when we lost William S. Burroughs and thought something involving cats would be appropriate. Crude digital hallucinations over the course of a day set to his incredible reading from "The Cat Inside" came to life... from the Giorno Poetry Systems collection each of you should buy and I hope nobody minds this little memorial, it was all I could do.

This video is fantastic. Well done. This book is so beautiful, and it was a pleasure seeing a video created that appropriately pays homage to the cut-ups while providing a visual track to one of Burroughs' most heart-felt and heart-breaking narrations.

It may take you a lifetime to ''figure out'' William S Burroughs. It may appear difficult at times, but do not give up. His works are the highlight of verbal communication throughout the ages. THE highlight. It's worth the effort.

You can imagine the powers that be do not want you to know who he is.
