Acer Aspire One running debian with compiz

Installed Debian and Compiz on to my Acer Aspire One laptop (the 1gb ram and 120gb HD version)

It runs pretty juicy... how the heck did you do that? My Aspire (with debian lenny) is quite slow compared to this!

Im using also lenny, i just optimized the compiz like this:

Using the below option in the Device section improves compiz performance about x2. Driver "intel"  Option "AccelMethod" "exa" Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"

and this in your /etc/profile

export INTEL_BATCH=1

HI!!! I have got the same netbook and want install Debian on it. Now I am using ubuntu 8.01. Please could you be so kind to point me on the instruction how to install it and fix all problems.

P.S. Are you using Lenny or Etch?

i just managed to get my aao working with lenny it wouldnt go on the web... now it does!
