Hi, Would you help me learn this song. step my step. I have the basic cords down. But Im not good at learning to read the tablature. I really want to learn this song. I cannot afford a teacher. My lessons are self taught. Im getting discouraged. Would you help me with finger position and timing?

Originally on Arthur Lee and Love, now renamed Five String Serenade - a song by Arthur Lee of the LA band Love
Is this in standard? It sounds in standard. I like the hammer on!
But check out the Love version - thats superb (but rare)

Thanks Rosie... Actually it's been a while since i last played Mazzy... but the chords are very simple, and with a bit of patience you can get there. I like playing with a classical guitar. Figerpicking pretty much all through the song... just the basic Thumb, 1and 2 starting with G Am7 and C leaving the thick string open on G at first and then placing the fingers down. Same goes for the next Am7 chord: 5th string open then fingers 1 and 2 and then play the C chord. Try it and let me know...

Nice version, and now I see the chords aren't so hard, I think I'll learn this too.
Now only if I could sing like Hope :)

Very easy in fact... just 4 chords: G, Am, C and D at the end. I can't sing like Sandoval either!=)
