This started out as an original composition, but as I was working on it I realized that I could include the melodies from "The Heart Carol" and "Winter Wrap Up". I think it turned out pretty well. I hope you enjoy it.

This is one of the first compositions I made with the E-MU Virtuoso sound library ( https://www.digitalsoundfactory.com/p... ). Not the best sounds available, I suppose, but a step up from the sounds I had been using. I also used this sleigh bell sample: http://www.peaceloveproductions.com/s...

I can see some potential brewing here!

You've clearly got a grasp on what sounds decent in a sequence as well as what sounds decent layered on top of something else; perhaps you could try layering some more strings to create a bit of a fuller sound, but as far as composition goes, this is pretty good.

You might want to turn the volume down in your DAW to avoid clipping, too.

It's nothing major here, but just advice for future songs.

I didn't use the Edirol Orchestral plugin, if that's what you're referring to. My DAW (LMMS) kept crashing when I was using VSTs, so I eventually decided to give up on them and just use soundfonts until I get a better DAW. For this track I used soundfonts from the E-MU Virtuoso library. (I didn't use any other Edirol product either, if you were talking about something else.)
